The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have changed tactics on the South Donetsk front due to heavy losses in equipment.
Now Kyiv sends infantry into battle without the support of tanks and combat vehicles. Alexander Khodakovsky, deputy head of the National Guard for the DPR, spoke about this.
“The enemy took into account the consequences of the first days of the counteroffensive and is now in no hurry to arrange a “defile” on armored vehicles near the line of contact,” Khodakovsky said in his telegram channel.
He clarified that the Armed Forces of Ukraine drove the equipment out of the territory defended by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. According to Khodakovsky, the command in Kyiv might have thought that it was not worth spending tanks so “generously”.
The American edition of The Washington Post wrote that the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost a lot of equipment needed to break through the Russian defense. According to the authors of the publication, it will now be difficult for Ukrainian troops to pass through minefields.
