Strike on Chernigov: the Number of Victims Increased to 156, the Rescue Operation Was Completed

The number of victims of a Russian ballistic missile attack on Chernihiv has risen to 156. The rescue operation has been completed.

Direct speech: “Chernigov. Cynical shelling of the city center. Rescue operation completed. 156 people were injured, 41 of them in hospitals. Everyone is receiving the necessary assistance. Unfortunately, seven people died.”

Details: As a result of the explosion, 66 residential buildings, 10 administrative buildings and 67 vehicles were damaged.

Compensation commissions are now working.

What came before: Earlier it was reported about 148 victims of a missile attack on Chernihiv.

Background :

• Russian troops at about 11:30 am on August 19  hit the center of Chernigov  with a ballistic missile.
• As it turned out, the Russian Federation launched a missile attack on the drama theater in the center of Chernigov, when a rally of drone manufacturers  and aerial reconnaissance training schools was held there  as part of the “Furious Birds” demo day, although only the participants of the event knew the exact location.
• Later, the RIA Novosti propaganda resource  stated that the purpose of the strike in Chernihiv was “to gather military specialists from the Armed Forces of Ukraine in combat drones.”
